  • Coming from/via Salzburg approx. 1 hour: Tauern Autobahn heading south until Bischofshofen, exit Gasteinertal
  • Coming from/via Innsbruck approx. 2 hours: motorway via Wörgl, federal road B 312 via St. Johann/Tirol until Lofer, federal road B 311 via Zell am See to Lend, federal road B 167 until Gastein, or motorway - Kufstein - Salzburg - Villach, exit Gasteinertal, federal road B 167 until Gasteinertal
  • Coming from the south, drive via Villach, Möllbrücke and Obervellach to Mallnitz. From here, you can comfortably reach Gastein via motorail service.

By train

All trains stop at the stations Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein. There are permanent bus connections to the individual districts. The next motorail loading station is in Bischofshofen. A delivery and pick-up service by taxi takes care of luggage transfer.

By plane

The next airports are Salzburg and Munich. Taxi transfers from and to the Gasteinertal are available.
