You always wanted to learn how to board? You already know the basics, but your jumps and turns have no style yet? You want to carve in even more extreme curve positions and defy the rules of gravity? Then the snowboard course in Gastein is the right choice for you! Under the guidance of Philipp Holleis, vice state champion in the halfpipe, course participants learn directly from a snowboard pro at the Snowboard School Dorfgastein.
In homogeneous groups you will learn everything from “drifting” to “carving” to ” freeriding” and ” slopestyle”. In our fun and practice arena at the middle and valley station with beginner area, practice lift and training aids, everyone can let off steam on the snowboard undisturbed. Whether you are a beginner, freestyler, freerider or speed junkie, in our snowboard school in Gastein you will refine your technique, your style and your sense of safety.

At Christmas (18.12.22 – 06.01.23) & Easter (02.04. – 14.04.23) group courses are held continuously. On 01. January is normal ski school operation.
Meeting place
from 9.40 am at the meeting point in front of the ski school office
Free 24 h cancellation
All courses booked online can be cancelled free of charge and without giving reasons up to 24 h before the start of the course. This means that you can book your desired course in advance without hesitation and cancel it at any time at short notice should you have health concerns despite all precautionary measures. Of course, free cancellation due to unexpected Covid-19 travel restrictions is always possible by arrangement.
Family Bonus
Families have it good at the Ski School Dorfgastein! Starting with the purchase of a 3-day course, the third and each additional person in your family (parents & their children) will receive a one-time 50% discount on the course fee. Valid for full-day courses – cannot be combined with other discounts!
Taster day
You are not sure whether and how long you or your children would like to attend a ski or snowboard course? Then book a taster day and try it out! The price of our taster card will of course be credited when you extend your course.
Lift pass
The ski pass is not included in the course price. Lift tickets are available in our online store or can be purchased directly on site at our ski school office or at the lift ticket offices next door.
Ski rental
The ski equipment is not included in the course price! Make sure you have the right ski length (beginners max chest height) and good boot material. Warm clothing, gloves, ski or sunglasses, balaclava, helmet and sunscreen are also part of an optimal equipment. Children up to the age of 15 are required by law to wear a ski helmet. Ski poles are not required for beginners. The appropriate ski equipment can be rented from our rental partner Sport Knauseder.
