How to become a snow sports teacher
The Salzburger Berufsski- & Snowboardlehrerverband SBSSV (Salzburgian Professional Ski and Snowboard Instructor Association) has set great store by high quality and professionalism during its snow sports teacher training for decades. Ski instructor training in Austria is becoming more and more extensive and diverse to meet our guests’ rising quality standards today. New techniques, educational findings and linguistic elements help us to respond to the increasing quality standards expected by our course participants.
Constant development of the syllabus ensures a consistently high standard to keep all training courses offered by the SBSSV at an appropriately high level and up-to-date. This high-quality training standard alone allows snow sports instructors to teach guests the skills they need and meet their expectations. SBSSV snow sports instructor training
- Preparatory courses: efficient preparation for the different training levels, improving skills and conveying basic knowledge of educational and methodical skills
- Beginners’ courses: prospective ski instructor, prospective snowboard instructor or snow sports instructor part 1
- Advanced training courses: province ski instructor 1 and 2, snow sport instructor parts 1 and 2, snowboard province instructor, alpine courses
- Further training courses: fresh ups (ski, board, alpine), children & youth camp, freeride camp, freestyle & new school camp, mogul & open terrain camp, giant slalom camp
The SBSSV places a particular emphasis on the early detection of new winter sport trends that are incorporated into the respective levels of the snow sport instructor training. The current development focus is on the areas freestyle, new school and freeride.
