Children’s ski course in Gastein from 4-11 years old
Much more than just skiing!
Children from the age of 4 experience a fun and varied program in the different performance and age categories and learn to ski along the way. With a lot of empathy and special teaching aids, the kids are introduced to skiing by our pedagogically trained children’s ski instructors and, depending on their ability, are professionally and individually coached in style and technique. Small groups guarantee maximum safety and optimal learning conditions. In the Gasti snow park, which is both a learning area and a playground, the piste fleas make their first turns and are introduced to skiing in a playful way.
Your children are guaranteed to feel at ease in the care of our experienced and highly trained children’s ski instructors and so the time at our children’s ski course in Gastein will fly by! Even advanced ski aces will get their money’s worth and can look forward to fast-paced descents and a great technical program. Course start

At Christmas (18.12.22 – 06.01.23) & Easter (02.04. – 14.04.23) group courses are held continuously. On 01. January is normal ski school operation.
Meeting place
from 9.40 am at the meeting point for kids & teens next to the ski kindergarten
Free 24 h cancellation
All courses booked online can be cancelled free of charge and without giving reasons up to 24 h before the start of the course. This means that you can book your desired course in advance without hesitation and cancel it at any time at short notice should you have health concerns despite all precautionary measures. Of course, free cancellation due to unexpected Covid-19 travel restrictions is always possible by arrangement.
Family Bonus
Families have it good at the Ski School Dorfgastein! Starting with the purchase of a 3-day course, the third and each additional person in your family (parents & their children) will receive a one-time 50% discount on the course fee. Valid for full-day courses – cannot be combined with other discounts!
Taster day
You are not sure whether and how long you or your children would like to attend a ski or snowboard course? Then book a taster day and try it out! The price of our taster card will of course be credited when you extend your course.
Full-day care: 10.00 am – 3.30 pm
Of course, if you wish, we can also look after your children in our ski kindergarten during the lunch break (12.00 – 1.00) and after the end of the course (3.00 – 3.30). In our dining and playroom at the middle station and our ski kindergarten at the valley station, a delicious children’s menu is ready for the hungry ski stars. And throughout the week, a varied animation program ensures lots of fun and action.
Lift pass
The ski pass is not included in the course price. Lift tickets are available in our online store or can be purchased directly on site at our ski school office or at the lift ticket offices next door. Beginners and slightly advanced children can use the 3 magic carpets and the ski carousel in our ski school’s own children’s area free of charge to learn the basic technique. Children need a lift pass as soon as they can turn and brake and use a ski lift. Children up to their 6th birthday can use all lift facilities with the reduced Mini Card. Children from the age of 6 need a regular lift ticket for the Dorfgastein-Großarltal ski area.
Ski rental
The ski equipment is not included in the course price! Make sure you have the right ski length (beginners max chest height) and good boot material. Warm clothing, gloves, ski or sunglasses, balaclava, helmet and sunscreen are also part of an optimal equipment. Children up to the age of 15 are required by law to wear a ski helmet. Ski poles are not required for beginners. The appropriate ski equipment can be rented from our rental partner Sport Knauseder.
Ski race
The big final race will take place on Thursday.
The race takes only about 15 minutes per group. Therefore we would recommend you to book the children’s ski course up to and including Thursday. There is a schedule for the race. The ski instructors will inform you about the start time in the morning before the race.
Award ceremony
The award ceremony and prize giving will take place on Thursday after the ski course within the group.

Nothing is as important to us as the health of your children, which is why we offer free ski helmet and safety vest rental for all course participants in our ski school office.
Gasti Snow Park in Dorfgastein
In our ski school’s own children’s area at the valley station of the gondola lift your children will learn skiing with a lot of fun and variety. The kids park is located right next to our ski school office, ski kindergarten & meeting point. With the 3 magic carpets and the ski carousel, children playfully learn the first turns in our practice area. Right next to our Gasti snow park is the public practice area with platter lift & kids fun slope.
